Congratulations to the excellent performance of our under 10 boys relay team at the 48th Sri Lanka Schools’ Age Group Aquatic Sport Championship. ?A special mention should be made of the exceptional performance of our boys as they secured the 1st place in the 200m Freestyle Relay.
The 25th World Scout Jamboree took place in South Korea, SaeManGeum from the 1st of August to the 12th of August. More than 45,000 Scouts and International Service Team volunteers from 158 National Scout Organizations took part in this.
The Interact Clubs of AGS Colombo and Matara engaged in a beach clean up project yesterday the 13th of August 2023. This was a joint venture of the two clubs of the two schools to promote ocean preservation.
Animals are an integral part of human lives. On Monday our little ones had the opportunity to bring their pets to school. Our little ones learnt about love, care and kindness in a realistic setting whilst also learning about the different pets brought in by the students.

The Tri Bhasha Dhinum (Language Day) Award Ceremony of the Primary and Upper School section was held last week. Students were placed in a plethora of events from creative writing, impersonations, digital presentations to script writing for all three languages, Sinhala, Tamil and English.
We are pleased to announce that we have now installed a lift to our Block B building which has 7 floors. The new section of the school is now equipped with a lecture hall, changing rooms, bathrooms, and reading areas for our primary school classes.
We are extremely happy to announce that Asian Grammar School has made the decision to introduce Edexcel GCSE London Orindary Level Examinations. The first batch will commence their studies in January 2024 for grade 9.
The Annual Swimming Meet of Asian Grammar School took place on the 7th July at the school swimming pool complex. The students from the four houses Alpha, Beta, Delta and Gamma competed against each other in many events. Gamma house emerged champions for the year 2023.
The first Inaugural Big Match - Dr. Newton Peiris - Dr. Thushari Koralage Challenge Trophy against Asian Grammar School and Royal International School Kurunagala took to the fields on the 1st of July 2023 at the D.S Senanayake College grounds.

Congratulations to our swimmers who gained places at the Ritzbury Vidudaya Swimming Championship organized by the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. A special mention should be made of our U10 boys relay team who emerged 1st place at both the 50x4 free style relay and 50x4 medley relay.
Laulu is a superfood highly acclaimed for its health and wellness benefits. To mark World Environment Day 2023, the students at AGS and GIM came together to rejuvenate this lost gem. Over 80 Laulu plants were planted in the school premises and also in the home gardens of our students.
