Dear Parent,
We are indeed happy to welcome your child to the Montessori Section. It is our prime objective to give your child the best education under the English medium Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) curriculum. We have added Music, Dancing, Elocution, Swimming, Wu-shu drill and kids computing to the Montessori curriculum in order to meet the new challenges faced by the children during Grade 1 admissions. Also we will do our best to honour the trust you have placed with us.
Age: Play Group - 2 ½ to 3 years
Nursery - 3 to 4 years Age will be considered by the 31st of January 2023.
Kindergarten - 4 to 5 years

Play Group - Rs. 38,000.00 Rs. 21,500.00
Note: The above fees structure may be subjected to any government tax imposed in the future.
(Available Extra Curricular Activities for Kindergarten Children Only- Swimming & Wushu- Drill)
English Elocution: Speech Training will be provided on individual basis to the children of Nursery and Kindergarten.
(The exams will be conducted by The Institute of Western Music & Speech - IWMS)
In the Montessori Section during the three stages children are provided with lot of love and care. At Giggles all the teachers are very experienced and trained in Montessori curriculum and child psychology too. The teachers are given regular training to upgrade their teaching skills and abilities.
It is appreciated that all your fees are paid on time. (Before the end of the 1st month of each term).
Documents required for Montessori Admissions 2023
- A copy of the child’s sinhala Birth Certificate.
- 2 self-addressed envelopes with stamps
- Photos: One (1-inch X 1.25 inch) size for the student identity.

Rules and Regulations
In order to maintain the good name of Giggles International Montessori we expect you to adhere to the following rules and regulations. After reading very carefully, sign below and hand it over to the office.
A. Dress
Student should be dressed in Montessori uniform at all times. Black shoes to be worn with white socks. All the children should bring a set of extra clothes every day to face any emergency.
B. Attendance
Students are expected to be punctual and regular in attendance. Absence should be covered by a letter of excuse by the parent or the guardian. If the child is absent for 3 days, the absence must be covered by a medical certificate.
C. School Hours
Monday to Friday
Play Group: 8.30am to 11.00 am / Nursery: 8.30 to 11.15 am / Kindergarten 8.30 am to 11.30 am
All gates will be closed exactly at the times mentioned above and late comers will not be excused under any circumstances. Prior approval is required from the office, for the child to come to the Montessori late or to leave the Montessori early for a valid reason. Parents will be allowed to enter the Montessori premises on the given days of each month (days and times will be given by the teacher) to meet the teacher and discuss about the progress of the child.
The Principal is available on Tuesday to meet the parents, but a prior appointment is required from the office.
D. Disciplinary Procedure
Discipline is in the top of the agenda of the Giggles International Montessori, for children and for parents. In this respect parents’ contribution is very important to discipline the children collectively with the teachers. In the event of failing to achieve the required disciplinary standard of the child, two more opportunities will be given as an ultimate. Failing all efforts the child will be asked to leave the Montessori. As a parent you should promise to dress appropriately when entering to the school premises.
E. Fees
Term fees should be paid before the first month of the respective term. The children will not be allowed to sit for the term test if the term fees is not paid for the respective term.
Admission or Term fees will not be refunded under any circumstances.
F. Parking and Traffic Pattern
Do not honk your horn in the event of traffic congestion. There will be staff, deployed to pick your child up at the gate for parents who do not require parking. Security officers on duty are well briefed regarding the rules and regulations of the school. Decisions made by the security officers will be final with regard to parking and activities near the school gates.
G. Transport
The Montessori maintains a transport network to all the areas at a very reasonable fee supervised by the management. Parents are advised to use this transport facility in order to reduce the traffic congestion, security and safety of the children.
H. A number of extracurricular activities are available for all the Kindergarten children. It is mandatory for each child to do one extracurricular activity.
I. Parents participation to the Montessori matters are compulsory whenever the Montessori requires.
